# 5 Apple

Founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ron Wayne, Apple, became the centerpiece of the technology lexicon. Starting with the personal computer competing against behemoth IBM, they later reinvented themselves. Bringing to life the iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and more. Their use of the app store and iTunes later revolutionized marketplaces.

The original Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company came to life in 1902. Transforming over the next century, 3M became an innovation hub. Creating waterproof sandpaper, scotch tape, and beloved post-it-note. Their ethos centered on design as their patents ranged from tamperproof pharmaceutical packaging to electronic screens.

Founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998, Google later transformed the world. The companies main revenue source and mission has always been an internet search.
